Lewes Delaware is a historic town located at the mouth of the Delaware bay and the Atlantic ocean. The historic district has homes dating back to the late 1600's.  At the corner of 2nd and Mulberry St you will find the Ryves Holt House.  It is the oldest home in Lewes Delaware, originally dated to 1665. The oldest home in its' original location is the Thomas Maull house located on Pilot Town Rd. Lewes Delaware has a walkable downtown with beaches, shopping, and dining. You won't find National hotels downtown, here are local options.

The Savannah Inn

Located at the intersection of Savannah Rd. and Orr St., the Savannah Inn is housed is a bed and breakfast.  The building was constructed in the early 1900's and rehabilitated in the early 2ooo's.  This Lewes B&B offers something more than breakfast.  at the Savannah Inn you can also relax with a nice massage after a day at the beach.

Hotel Rodney

A beautifully finished boutique hotel located in an early 1900's building.  The Hotel Rodney is located halfway down 2nd St. in Lewes Delaware which.  This is right in the middle of downtown Lewes restaurants and shopping.  If your trip to Lewes includes some business, the Hotel Rodney has meeting space available to accommodate your needs.

Dogfish Inn

If you are into outdoor activities and craft beer the Dogfish Inn might fit your off-centered lifestyle.  Run by the craft brewing wizards from Dogfish Head Brewery, this Lewes Delaware inn has equipment available for outdoor activities and can point you towards the local eco-tour providers to help you explore the Delaware coast.  If you like to bring your pup on vacation, give them a call and see if their dog friendly venue can accommodate your pup.

Hotel Blue

The Hotel Blue is situated on Angler's Rd facing the Lewes - Rehoboth canal.  This Lewes hotel is located a short walk over the drawbridge from the restaurants on 2nd St.  You have direct access to the canal front restaurants and bars along Angler's Road. Along the canal front in Lewes you will find some of the best waterfront decks to enjoy a drink or meal in coastal Delaware.  Hotel Blue is a boutique hotel with a roof top pool. No two rooms are alike and each enjoys a private fireplace.

The Inn at Canal Square  

Tucked away along Market St you will find the Inn at Canal Square.  This New England style hotel is larger than it looks from the street.  This hotel offers several two bedroom suites for groups in need of multiple bedrooms. You are right in the middle of the downtown Lewes scene for dining and shopping.  This beautiful hotel also faces the Lewes-Rehoboth canal.  If you have business in Lewes Delaware, the Inn at Canal Square also has meeting rooms available.

The Beacon Inn

With one of the shortest walks to the beach, the Beacon still keeps you at an easy jaunt to restaurants and shopping.  Located on the beach side of the Lewes drawbridge, the Beacon is one of the larger hotels in town.  If you stay at the Beacon, check out their elevated pool and roof top sundeck for some incredible views of the town and the great marsh.  Watch for the setting sun along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal to see if Lewes is facing North along the Delaware Bay.

The Bluewater House

If you like your accommodations described as exuberant and the hosts known for their hospitality, check out the Bluewater House.  This Bed and Breakfast is an easy walk to Lewes Beach.  A couple blocks the other direction and you are at the restaurants along Angler's Road.  When the Delaware beaches call you for a vacation this is an option worth considering.
